Not sure what’s going to emerge here, can’t comment yet on quality; just an older theatre guy who never really “made it,” per se, who has longed throughout a recent artistic drought to get back to theatre. To narrative. To the assumption that we are NOT, in fact, homo sapiens, but are more appropriately homo aestheticus. I sincerely believe that the artistic faculty, to create, to write, to perform, to shape and edit narrative, is what drives humans.
I write after having planned, for a long time, to put together a functioning, vital theatre in a sparsely populated high desert where none really currently exists. I think there are entertaining theatres here. I feel like an opportunity now exists, with the pandemic forcing videoconferencing…
